FIRST teaches you lifelong skills which will last far beyond one season. You learn teamwork, working underneath pressure, communication, and empathy. The idea of Gracious Professionalism is one that will last with you throughout your entire career and shape you into a leader. 

While advancement is an accomplishment to be celebrated, it’s not the only measure of your impact and achievement. Every design, practice, outreach event, and line of code written matters. The moments that stay with you are the late nights tuning the robot, new friends made, and mentor relationships built.
